Eric C. Jeffrey

Eric C. Jeffrey is a Founding Principal of Jeffrey/Fenneman Law + Strategy, PLLC.

Eric has counseled clients in maritime and other transportation matters for over 30 years, helping them deal with complex regulatory issues. His clients cover the entire international transportation industry, including ocean common carriers, marine terminal operators NVOCCs, freight forwarders, and other global trade entities. Eric offers advice with respect to the requirements of the Shipping Act of 1984, the Merchant Marine Act of 1936 and other pertinent statutes. Eric’s practice focuses on compliance issues and covers both advice to clients and representation in proceedings before the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) and in the courts, including some of the FMC’s most significant cases. 

Eric is magna cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and a cum laude graduate of Cornell University (Mathematics). He clerked for the New Jersey Supreme Court, and has since been engaged in private practice for the past 40 years.  Eric was selected by his clients and peers as a Best Lawyer in America for admiralty and maritime in both 2020 and 2021.
